Day 1 Marrakech

Day 2 Marrakech – Imi Oughlad – Tizi N'Tachte – Tizziane

Depart early from Marrakech for a scenic drive south, winding through the Moulay Brahim gorge and the upper valleys until we reach the foothills of the western High Atlas Mountains. Our trailhead is at Imi Oughlad (1450 m), with stunning peaks like Jbel Toubkal (4167 m), Aglzim (3650 m), and Aksoual (3847 m) visible.

Upon arrival, we’ll meet our Berber muleteer crew and begin a 2-hour acclimatization hike. We’ll ascend on switchback mule tracks, passing cornfields, pine, and juniper woods, reaching Tiz n’Tachete (2000 m). Here, we’ll pause to take in views of the Imlil and Ait Oussaden valleys before continuing for another half hour to Imi N’Ifri for a field picnic.

Following lunch, we'll embark on a slow 2.5-hour hike southwest along a dirt track to Assif n’ Ait Oussaden, reaching the red clay terraced village of Tiziane (1750 m). We’ll stay overnight in a bivouac or refuge.

After breakfast we now set off on our hike up along the assif n'ait oussaden valley , passing through the walnuts groves , up to tizi n'taghrhourte (1995m)and through to a rare almost flat stretch to arrive at assaka spring, where we will stop for our field picnic amidst and awesome silence after some 2 and half hours relatively easy walking .

Our afternoon's hike takes us down along the edges of the forest till we reach the Berber village of D'knt (1870m) or Agouns n Assoul where we will have our dinner and spend the Night in a bivouac or refuge.

After breakfast, we embark on a 3-hour morning hike through groves of walnut trees and fields of corn and barley. Along the way, we’ll encounter local shepherds, goat herders, and women and children carrying bundles of firewood and dried herbs.

We’ll cross Tizi n'Tagdalte and descend through juniper trees to a small spring where we’ll pause for a picnic.

Rejuvenated, we’ll continue along winding tracks down the upper slopes for about 3 hours, reaching a small river at the beginning of the Assif n' Ait Oussaden valley. From there, we’ll enter the village of Tizi Oussem (1850 m) and then head up to the summer village of Tamsoult, where we will set up camp or stay in a refuge.
Day 5 Azib Tamsoult - Tizi M'zzik - Imlil

Today’s trek will take us to a small waterfall at Azib Tamsoult. After visiting the waterfall, we’ll return and cross the Tizi n’ Mzik pass (2,500 m).

We’ll then descend into the main Toubkal valley and arrive at Imlil (1,900 m), where we’ll have lunch. Afterward, we’ll return to Imlil for an overnight stay at a comfortable riad with balconies offering views of the surrounding mountains.
Day 6 Hike to Tidili Pass 2000 m – Marrakech
Hike to Tidili Pass 2000 m – Marrakech
Hike from the village up to Tidili Pass, then descend into the valley. Enjoy lunch under the walnut trees before transferring back to Marrakech. The hike will take approximately 4 hours. Upon arrival in Marrakech, check in at your hotel.
Day 7 Marrakech
Marrakech
After breakfast, proceed on foot to the Medina, where you will explore Place Jamaa El Fna and the vibrant souks. View the Koutoubia Mosque from the outside and visit notable monuments, including Bahia Palace.

Enjoy a farewell dinner in the evening. Overnight stay at your hotel.
